Academics — Physical Education

The goal of our Physical Education program is to establish in each student a level of physical fitness, an understanding of teamwork, the development of skills and sportsmanship and an understanding of rules and strategies. In the younger grades, the focus is on fundamental movements, ball skills, basic tumbling and individual stunts. In the older grades, a variety of team sports are introduced including soccer, lacrosse and basketball. Rules and strategies are discussed to increase level of performance. Physical conditioning through exercise and stretching routines is a key component of our program. Good sportsmanship and cooperation during competition are emphasized. We encourage inclusivity and participation regardless of athletic ability for all of our students.
