Academics — Library

The Library program provides each student a weekly opportunity to come to the Library to enjoy both fiction and non-fiction literature. Students are read to, are encouraged to check out age-appropriate, quality books and are trained in library skills. Students take turns serving at the circulation desk, shelving books and spending time researching special projects at the reference center.

The Jackson School Library has over 5,000 books available for lending as well as CD-ROMs, videos and DVDs.

During special projects, classes also visit the Library to do additional research with guidance from their classroom teachers and the Librarian. Students may use the Library for individual research projects. The Library also serves as a resource center for our faculty in preparing lessons and exploring new topics to present to their classes.
